Responsibilities:
- Primary support HSBC’s strategic Back Office systems for Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Precious Metals and Derivatives products. There are 3 Calypsbased back office systems covering this:
- The FX&MM system currently processes trades for London and Paris which will shortly be expanded tinclude New York and Hong Kong. The technology used is mainly Java, J2EE and Oracle based
- The Derivatives system currently deals with FX Options, Structured Funds, Interest Rate, Credit and Equity derivatives for Hub sites such as London, HK, NYK as well as many Satellite Sites globally. The technology used is mainly Java, J2EE and Sybase based
- The 3rd system is lower in volume and trades solely in Precious Metals such as gold and its users are primarily based in NYK and London. The technology used is mainly Java, J2EE and Sybase based
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the investment banking business with knowledge of back office processing for FX&MM as well as Derivatives products.
- Able twork on shift and weekends
- Good written and spoken English and an ability tcommunicate with peers, managers and the business globally is essential
- Must be committed twork and able twork with minimal supervision and be able tuse own initiative.
