Decision Support Analyst
Qualification
- Minimum qualification: a Bachelor’s degree holder
- Has 2 to 5 years experience performing analytical roles and financial reporting
- Experience in SAP is a distinct advantage
- Strong analytical experience in a Marketing / Sales environment would be preferred
- Strong financial acumen
- Ability to communicate effectively with different people at all levels & across Business Units / countries
Job responsibilities
- Development & Submission of Key Performance Reports
- Coordinates and completes all relevant reports specially Management Business Review reports and other monthly requirements
- Provides analytical support, as and when needed
Collection and Analysis of Information
- Works with Sales & Marketing and Technical Services teams to develop an understanding of their informational needs
- Collects information from all relevant external sources as required
- Accesses market intelligence and internal database systems within Chevron Malaysia /Chevron Corporation for information
- Interprets and analyzes data to identify and forecast competitive activity, environmental trends, and Lubricants performance
- Communicates relevant information to the Sales & Marketing team to produce a monthly commentary and the Lubricants Segment Templates for timely submission
Maintenance of the Profitability Modeling & Other Databases
- Works with the Sales & Marketing team to ensure that the Management Operations System is kept up to date and that relevant reconciliation takes place in a timely manner
- Maintains relevant sections of the SAP & MRP systems and coordinates changes / updates on the team’s behalf
Preparation of Yearly Strategic and Business Plans
- Works alongside the Management Team and Fiscal group to assist the field and Lubricants Central Planning in preparing the business plan
- Provides input to developing market assumptions associated with planning
Deferred Marketing Expenditure Review for Singapore and Malaysia Markets
- Leads the review of deferred marketing applications to Management for consideration, and make recommendations on improvement / approval
- Undertakes Post Audit review of deferred marketing projects and document lessons learned
Performs Analytical Assignments
- Provides information to Lubricants analysts in the Planning and Marketing areas
- Provides information to business support, as and when needed
- Provides analytical support, as and when needed
Undertakes Special Projects e.g. Profitability Improvement, Pricing Opportunities, Processes and Compliance
- Analytical assignments
- Research assignments
- Competitive evaluations
