SENIOR ENGINEER / MANAGER – ELECTRICAL
(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:

• Manage / Lead preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of plant electrical equipment and systems including performing machineries overhaul, equipment testing and inspections.
• Monitor and analyze equipment and system performance to maximize reliability and availability.
• Lead/participate in engineering studies and plant problem trouble shooting.
• Lead / participate in RCM, RCA and other operation & maintenance tools and methodology initiatives.
• Evaluate, recommend and implement new technology related to the system and equipment in the power plant
• Develop applicable, test, maintenance and inspection procedures
• Develop, verify and endorse plant Engineering Change Control
• Implement capital expenditure improvement projects
• Optimize operational and maintenance cost without compromising safety and quality.
• Conduct technical due diligent and audit related to the system and equipment in the power plant

Requirements:

• The position requires the candidate to hold a recognized Degree in Electrical Engineering and possess the followings :
• Self starter with strong leadership for excellence
• A minimum of 6 years relevant working experience with direct involvement in operation and maintenance of electrical equipment in power plants, petrochemical or cement plants.
• Conversant with various technologies for Generators, Transformers, T&D Systems, switchgears and related plant equipments.
• Excellent communication skill, high degree of initiative, sound judgment and planning and analytical skill
• Capable of working independently as well as a part of a large team
• Experience in project management and multitasking is an added advantage
• Good command of English. Third/foreign language proficiency will be highly regarded
• Candidates with Electrical Competency certificates (33kV and above) would have added advantage
• Conversant with relevant international and local standards and ensure compliance
• Familiar with and able to implement various operation & maintenance tools and methodology such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Reliability Based Inspection (RBI), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and others.
