Cost Accountant
(Penang Bayan Lepas)

Responsibilities:

• Include but not limited to:
• Full spectrum of cost accounting functions for in-country manufacturing plants and other regions as assigned.   
• Co-ordinate and ensure a proper month end cut-off for monthly financial close.
• Month end close activities for assigned areas, closing deadline, wd+2.
• Completion of accounts reconciliation for all inventory accounts and any other accounts as assigned.
• Maintain and define standard product costs.
• Revise standard cost for all items on a monthly basis.
• Analyse and review all material costs variances.
• Work closely with operations team to analyse and update product costs.
• Lead and participate in ad hoc projects, e.g. business migration, merger, ERP systems, kaizen...etc.
• Process improvement and always challenge the status quo.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in management accounting, MNC accounting experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge in cost accounting concepts, able to grasp difficult concept and identify area for improvements.
• Must be computer literate and preferably knowledge in ERP system such as SAP, Oracle Applications.
• A self starter, multi-tasking and able to work under pressure, resourceful, committed and responsible.
• Able to interact with all level of staffs locally and internationally.
• Strong analysis, problem solving and project management skills.
