Responsibilities:We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following vacancy at our subsidiary company based in Kuala Lumpur :
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT (HSE) MANAGER
(Kuala Lumpur)
- Lead, expand and develop the HSE Department in compliance with IMO requirements.
- Develop, train, monitor and coach all shore and sea staff to improve skill levels for managing HSE initiatives.
- Develop appropriate training plans with regards to health, safety and environment on a regular basis.
- Conduct, review and implement HSE audit initiatives for both shore and sea staff.
- Responsible for continuous improvements on quality, health, safety and environmental policies and systems.
Requirements:
- Minimum COC Class 1 (with command).
- Knowledge of ISM / ISPS, HSE regulations and requirements. Auditor’s certification on ISM / ISPS is an added advantage.
- Minimum sea going experience as Chief Officer or 2nd Engineer.
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience in a related field, preferably in the Marine industry.
- Good communication skills (both Bahasa Malaysia and English).
- Computer literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Willing to travel and work at irregular hours (when required).
