Packaging Material Design Engineer
(Penang)
Responsibilities:
- Create new and exciting content, and packaging, based in a strong understanding of medical devices regulatory requirements in medical devices labeling
- Demonstrate a strong understand and execution of the design process
- Work collaboratively with Material Management (MM), vendor, PM/Sales/customer and production teams to meet schedules for model transfer and/or new model introduction
- Increase value of packaging material/part
- Assessment the potential risk and provide appropriate guidance for nonconformance packaging material/part (when needed)
- Design packaging material/part, packing flow, container and pallet loading
- Document packaging specification and bill of material (BOM)
- Determine important check item (s) of packaging material/part for sample judgment
- Judge packaging material/part sample made by supplier (conduct sample approval)
- Prepare packaging material/part specification to Quality Assurance (QA)
- Evaluate new packaging material/part
- Review inactive BOM and part number for phase out
- Participate in vendor survey
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree,Science/Engineering/Graphic Design or equivalent.
- Required skill(s): llustrator, Acrobat, Adobe PhotoShop, Corel Draw, AutoCad.
- At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering Others or equivalent.
- FullTime positions available.
KNOWLEDGE
- General labeling requirements for medical devices as per regulatory requirements
- Extensive knowledge in design related softwareAdobe suites (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat), CorelDraw and AutoCAD
- Basic characteristics of packaging material/part
- Off set printing processes & types of finishing
- Basic colors for printing (origins if color, color conversion, color communication, advertising colors and marketing)
- Standard color guide
- Structure, functions and express dimensions of package
- Use of statistical and analytical tools in expressing and understanding of data
- Internal part numbering rules
EXPERIENCE
- Worked in manufacturing environment and experienced in graphic designing
