DUTY MANAGER
(Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts daily mall inspection in accordance to the mall’s standards (Duty Manager Checklist and Duty Manager’s Report) which include
  • Housekeeping (ensure general cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, reporting of defects, etc.)
  • Maintenance (escalators, air-cond, lightings, etc. are fully functional)
  • Operations and overall upkeep of the mall including:
  • fire check for irregularities/violations
  • public safety (ensure proper placement and handling of hazardous items by contractors and event organizers)
  • Handles emergencies/incidents that arise:
    • takes appropriate action in accordance with the mall’s emergency procedures
    • consult and co-ordinate appropriate action(s) with mall security/enforcement officials in case of theft, robbery or those involving public safety and security)
    • records the emergencies/incidents as required and ensure follow-up
  • Must be visible in public areas to be readily assessable to guests/visitors/tenants of the mall and ensure that all complaints and concerns are dealt with promptly and followed-up on.
  • Assist to serve guests/visitors at designated hours at the Concierge Desk.

Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience; Front Office supervisory experience or Management role (Duty Manager)  in a hotel or shopping centre
  • Good working knowledge of Health, Safety, Security and Emergency procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Fluency in English is a must,  other languages an advantage)
  • Passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest/customer service
  • Calm, efficient and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays
